The Maps of Obliviac
Maps, something no fantasy tale should ever be without, out of all the pieces of art I have composed these maps are the ones that have taken the longest. So long that after the years of making them they are still being made. I hope they help.
The Myslium Isles
This is a small map of the Myslium Isles, the main settlement is located where the dark dots are whilst the surrounding area is made of streams, islands, beaches, small grassy glades and both coniferous and deciduous trees. As a climate it is rather cool and wet here but with multiple sunny spells and warm weather. A single road leads to and from the Myslium Isles which deteriorates the further away you get. The forest that bridges the gap between The Forests of Failorea and The Myslium Isles is known as The Tranquil Forest due to both the fact few ever enter or leave it and the fact that it is just so silent.
The Forests of Failorea
The Forests of Failorea
One of the largest expanses of forest in Obliviac, The Forests of Failorea stretch across the continent from the eastern coast of the Roaring Sea to the western coast of the Ethereal Sea. It is home to a boundless amount of wildlife and forgotten myths. Admist the wild beasts, monsters, peculiar trees, curious geography and many ancient ruins are small villages, farms, miners, loggers and the occasional road. Several key ruling families rule over the forest and its inhabitants but the sheer amount of land is often impossible to keep records of.
The five ruling families include the Algers who reside at Stone Creek, the Firths of Blent Rock, the Stanfords of Clad Wharf, the Terridims of Thesturn and the Hamiltons of Overhill. The Hamiltons live further to the west of the forests on a natural border with the Merelands. The sixth ruling power is the Myslium Isles but seldom do the families of the great forests come into contact with the druids, many ordinary folk will not even know of islands existence.
